Switching to Mac : Mac vs Windows

I'm trying to understand why people are attracted to Mac. So I collected these opinions from the web.

From Quora: Why do software engineers usually use MacBooks?

– powerful M2 chip
– macOS behaves similarly enough to Linux
– macOS plays well with most of the Linux-y software: Emacs
– the default terminal is not that bad
– can install ZShell if wanted
– can even install Gnu sed as gsed
– pleasant keyboard: makes that delightful ticking noise
– decent battery life
– peripherals seldom need any finagling in order to work

Big weakness:
– incompatibility
– not much of a gamer, so no problem
