Gutenberg: the Block Editor

I finally making my peace with Gutenberg..

WBE: WordPress Block Editor (lol)
– block-based design approach
(contrasting its TinyMCE predecessor)
– more custom features
– more intuitive
– more functional
– more interactive
– drag & drop experience
– can move content around the page
– goal: user no lenger need to seek out a plugin
– at first glance can be overwhelming

Gutenberg
– the development name
– named after the printing press inventor Johannes Gutenberg
– aimed at overhauling the entire editing experience on WordPress
– part of WordPress core
– replacing visual 'classic' editor
– changing trend
> nothing inherently wrong with WCE (WP classic editor)
> other page-building tools: Elementor, Divi
